1. Definitions
"We / Us / Our" refers to Senandung Tempo, a watch repair workshop operating at 44 Jalan Tengah, Damansara Heights, 50490 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
"You / Client" refers to any individual who submits an enquiry, drops off a watch, or engages our services.
"Services" refers to the Movement Overhaul, Bezel Insert Service, Heritage Programme, and any related horological work we perform.
"Watch / Timepiece" refers to any mechanical or automatic watch or clock entrusted to us for service.
"Agreement" refers to these Terms & Conditions together with any written service estimate or intake documentation provided to you.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry through our website, dropping off a watch at our workshop, or accepting a written service estimate, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
You confirm that you are aged 18 or above and have the legal capacity to enter into a service agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person as the watch's owner, you warrant that you are authorised to do so.
3. Service Description
We offer mechanical watch repair and servicing, including full movement overhauls, bezel insert services, and extended heritage programmes for vintage and collected timepieces. Services are provided at our workshop in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur.
We do not service quartz or electronic watch movements, smartwatches, or clocks larger than pocket watch size unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Our services are available primarily to clients based in Malaysia. We may consider postal service arrangements for clients elsewhere in Southeast Asia at our discretion, with the client bearing all transit risk.
4. Service-Specific Terms
Intake and assessment: All watches are examined before a service estimate is issued. No work commences without the client's written or verbal agreement to the stated estimate. The initial examination is conducted at no charge.
Scope changes: If during the course of service we discover a condition not apparent at intake that requires additional work or cost, we will contact you before proceeding. No additional charges will be incurred without your consent.
Timelines: Estimated completion timelines are provided at intake and are indicative. Heritage Programme timelines may be extended if period-correct components require sourcing. We will communicate delays promptly.
Collection: Completed watches are to be collected within 30 days of notification. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you. After 90 days without collection or contact, we reserve the right to charge a storage fee.
Uncollected watches: Watches uncollected after 12 months from notification, following reasonable attempts to contact the client, may be disposed of in accordance with Malaysian law.
5. Payment Terms
All prices are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Payment is due in full upon collection of the watch. We do not release watches until payment is settled.
We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, and major credit or debit cards. For Heritage Programme services or where component costs are significant, we may request a deposit prior to commencing work. Any deposit arrangement will be stated in the written estimate.
Pricing stated on our website and in promotional materials represents starting prices. Final service cost depends on the condition of the movement and any components requiring renewal, as assessed at intake.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, imagery, layout, and service descriptions — is owned by or licensed to Senandung Tempo. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any of this content without our written consent.
Photographic records we produce of your watch during service remain our intellectual property, though you are provided a copy as part of the service documentation. We may use anonymised workshop photography for professional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
7. Disclaimers
Our services are carried out with care and professional skill. However, we cannot predict all outcomes when working with aged or previously serviced mechanical movements. Results may vary depending on the condition and history of the watch.
We do not warrant specific rate accuracy outcomes. Post-service performance is subject to the mechanical condition of the watch and will be communicated honestly at collection.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage that was not apparent at intake and becomes evident during disassembly. Such findings are reported to the client before any decision is made.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid to us for the specific service in question.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of use, loss of enjoyment, or diminution in market value of a watch arising from our service.
In the unlikely event of damage occurring to a watch while in our custody, we will assess the matter fairly and discuss remedies with you. We hold appropriate insurance for watches in our care.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Senandung Tempo against any claims, losses, or costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of false information, or your unauthorised submission of a watch belonging to another party without authority to do so.
10. Termination
You may withdraw from a service agreement at any time prior to completion of work. In such cases, you will be responsible for costs incurred up to the point of withdrawal, including parts sourced and work completed.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a service if we determine the work is beyond our technical capacity, if required parts cannot be sourced, or if we have reasonable grounds to believe the watch is connected to a dispute over ownership.
11. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of any dispute, we encourage you to contact us first to seek an informal resolution. Most concerns can be addressed through direct communication.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
12. General Provisions
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with any written estimate or intake documentation, form the complete agreement between us regarding the services described.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it subsequently.
Assignment: You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, identified by its effective date. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
